Sometimes I even measure an existing frame with a ruler before ordering anything new. The same is true for metal versus acetate frames for glasses. The main things I look at for glasses are frame weight, hinge quality and lens coating. For light summer tops I keep to my normal size to avoid a baggy look. Cheap frames can look nice at first but bend easily or become loose after a few weeks. Recently I have been testing several online eyewear shops to compare frames and lenses.
If anyone is interested in real user experiences, I sometimes write short notes about the shops I test. You can find one of the pages here: visit this page They are simply the ones that fit well and survive many rounds of washing or daily use. When a store shows clear shoulder width, bust, waist and length, it is much easier to choose. From my experience, communication with the store can tell you a lot. It saves a lot of trial and error for everyone else. Footwear is even harder because different brands cut shoes very differently. In the past I have wasted money on items that looked good in photos but felt cheap in real life. Price is important to me, but quality and comfort are even more important in the long run. A simple pair of glasses or a basic jacket that always works is worth a lot. Maybe this is useful for someone. |
